Oh…those tricks…
Author: Salema A. Ruvalcaba, MATS
Sometimes we easily forget how much we sin. We allow ourselves to think the “BIG” sins are the ones that grab God’s attention. We think those “little” sins are okay.
What we fail to realize is, there are no “little” sins. Every sin is a sin to God. But those “little” sins we have a habit of ignoring and because we ignore our so called little sins, we think God ignores them too.
Not so.
The more you ignore your little sins by gossiping, bad thoughts, mistreatment to family members especially your husband, you become less sensitive to your sins and you come from under God’s covering. Then, ladies, you foolishly think you have the favor of God in your lives through your own human willpower.
Are you living in sin (of any kind)? Are you seeing great things happening to you at the same time?
You’re being tricked! Period!
Satan has you fooled and under his control.
Mark 9:43 “If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It’s better to enter eternal life with only one hand than to go into the unquenchable fires of hell with two hands.”
Ladies, God takes sin seriously. Jesus Christ tells us to purge anything in our lives that will cause us to sin. We have a responsibility to take His Word seriously and believe all sin is a sin against God. When we live our lives the way we want we cannot expect His favor. Make no mistake about it, ladies – He will correct you in due time.
Hebrews 12: 5-6 “And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said, “My child, don’t make light of the Lord’s discipline, and don’t give up when he corrects you. For the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.”
Seek God today. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you where you have sinned. Repent of your sins and allow God to purify you with His love.
