Why Prayers Go Unanswered

Here’s one reason…

There are many reasons our prayers go unanswered. First, it’s important to understand that even a no is an answer – thus – prayers really don’t go unanswered. Instead, God is saying no or not right now to our request.

But when something we desire seems so in line with the will of God, why does it seem like God refuses to answer?

In the book of Daniel, (Daniel 10) Daniel had been praying to God for answers regarding a vision he received, yet God was “slow” to answer the request. But we see in Daniel 10:12-14 why…

Daniel 10:12-14 “Then he (the messenger) said; Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, and I left him there the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia. Now I am here to explain what will happen to your people in the future, for this vision concerns a time yet to come.”

Do you see what happened here?

Daniel’s prayer was heard in heaven right away but the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked the way of the messenger. Many times our prayers are hindered by unseen obstacles, yet we must continue to pray, and fast, as Daniel did. Sometimes God delays answers due to our own sin, and sometimes, spiritual forces try to stop God’s answers. We should never expect answers to come easy without a fight against the spiritual forces of evil.

If we weren’t up against darkness, then everyone, right now, would be faithful followers of Jesus Christ – because everyone would see answers to their prayers instantly. Yet – we don’t see immediate answers to our prayers, because it’s a fight we must endure for the sake of the Kingdom and unfortunately MANY of us will never endure that fight!

Ladies, where are you waiting for God to answer?

You are a valued woman of God so don’t give up the fight for His Kingdom.

You have disciples to make, children to raise as Kingdom men and women; a spouse to pray for – and if you don’t believe God values you, you won’t pray in faith – and endure the long battle for them.

Keep praying ladies! Heaven hears you!
