Where do you turn?
Author: Saleama A. Ruvalcaba
I have been wrestling with something for several months now.
Something happened to me a few months ago. In my opinion it was something unfair; something I didn’t deserve; something at the hands of people I trusted.
It hurt.
Sister, when you’re hurting, who do you turn to?
Your best friend?
Your parents?
The most reliable and trustworthy internet? (sarcasm)
I had gone to bed the night before still trying to make sense of what happened.
I woke up and started my Bible reading where I had left off the previous day. And there – right before my eyes – was God speaking to me. I was in Daniel 6, and the commentary in my Bible literally answered my hurt and pain. It didn’t make my pain instantly go away – but it reminded me of how much God hears and sees us. It reminded me of how much God loves us and wants us to be in a relationship with Him. It reminded me that we live in fallen world, and while I might have been wronged – God will make it right.
Are you in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ?
Do you go to Him in time of need?
Do you read His Word daily?
If you don’t, I invite you to get to know Him on a deeper level today – this moment! Repent of your sins and ask Him to be Lord over your life today – and then begin a new journey through His amazing Word – the Bible!
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
