Lord, We Need You…

Now!

We have leaders in our nation right now who are abusing their powers. When God commands us to pray for our leaders in the Bible – He’s serious.

Are we?

Have you taken it seriously?

No, you haven’t. That is why we are seeing so many people in leadership right now abusing their powers. They have no fear of God.

1 Timothy 2:2 “pray for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”

When Paul wrote these words, Nero, the notoriously cruel leader was in power butchering Christians for even speaking the name of Jesus Christ, yet Paul tells us to pray for those in authority. When life is going great we easily forget to pray for leaders. We live in our comfort only concerned with ourselves. However, when life is in a shambles, with tyrants making decisions on a whim – we cry to God.

The good news is, God is a God of compassion. When we repent, He will turn His ear to us.

Repent to God for your complacency and pray for the leaders in this nation. Pray that their hearts will be turned toward Him. Pray that their blind eyes will be open to truth! (Isaiah 42:7)

Lord, forgive us for our complacency! Lord, we need You today! Our nation needs You! No human being is more powerful than You! Stop the atrocity. Bring leaders in our nation into salvation and fear of Your name! Save us Lord! Bring peace in our nation today! We promise Lord, to pray daily for those who are in leadership to have a heart for You!
