Uncommon Favor…

Requires Uncommon Sacrifice to Him

Author: Saleama A. Ruvalcaba, MATS

Does it ever feel like God is hidden? Does it feel like He doesn’t answer your prayers? Do it feel as if you don’t have any favor?

I think we all feel that way at times.

But here’s another question; how much time do you spend with Him in prayer?

I mean prayer where you aren’t just spewing out your requests to Him, but also allowing Him to minister to your heart. The picture I’ve attached in this post is a real picture of my very early prayer time with God. I wake up early every day and spend about two hours praying and studying His Word.

Yes, I have a full-time job I go to every day. I have a husband and children who need to be ready for the day as well. Yes, there are days I am very tired but I already know from experience- God is more important than anything I will do on any given day. I need to be cleansed each day. I need to hear from God and allow Him to show me my sins so I can confess them to Him. I need to hear from God and make sure I am walking down His path.

How empty and shallow my prayers were when all I did was tell God what I wanted and never cared to hear from Him.

If I want to see His favor I need to be in His presence. If I want to change every day – I need to be in His presence. If I want or need favor for situations- I need to be in His presence.

Don’t serve God to get favor. Serve God because you love Him, and in the interim allow Him to bless your paths with His favor!

Be challenged.

Transform your life today and spend time – real time – with God in prayer every day!

Matthew 6:7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
